Diabetologia · 2024 · Meta-analysis / systematic review
Subcutaneously administered tirzepatide vs semaglutide for adults with type 2 diabetes: a systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials

Conclusion: Our data show that s.c. tirzepatide had a more pronounced effect on HbA1c and weight reduction compared with s.c. semaglutide in people with type 2 diabetes. Both drugs, particularly higher doses of tirzepatide, increased gastrointestinal adverse events.

Obes Rev · 2025 · Meta-analysis / systematic review
Discontinuing glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists and body habitus: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Conclusion: The proportion of weight regained was proportional to the amount originally lost. Meaning: Discontinuation of GLP-1RA treatment leads to weight regain, regardless of lifestyle interventions, and should therefore be considered a chronic therapy to prevent weight regain and associated undesirable outcomes related to obesity.
