PlainPill

About PlainPill

The supplement market runs on marketing. Labels promise everything, review sites earn a commission on every sale, and the research is locked behind abstracts most people never read.

PlainPill puts two honest sources side by side: what people actually report after trying something, and what controlled research has found. Today that is 100,457 user reports from 15,046 discussions, covering 2,750 substances, each matched against PubMed.

Principles

  • Computed, not curated. Every score comes from the data. Nobody hand-edits a ranking.
  • Sources, always. Every quote links to its original discussion; every research conclusion links to PubMed.
  • Rankings can't be bought. Sponsored placements are labelled and never affect a score or position.
  • Honest about limits. User reports are anecdotes. We say so, and show the research next to them.
