PlainPill

Privacy policy

Last updated October 3, 2026

PlainPill is a reference site. You can use all of it without an account, and we collect as little as we can.

What we collect

  • Anonymous usage statistics. We use a self-hosted, cookie-free analytics tool (Umami) to count page views, referrers, country and device type. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, and stores no IP addresses. The data never leaves our server and is not shared with anyone.
  • Your email address, only if you give it to us — for example to join a course waitlist. We use it only for what you signed up for, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Server logs. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for up to 14 days for security and debugging, then deletes them.

What we don't do

  • No advertising cookies, tracking pixels or cross-site tracking.
  • No selling or renting of personal data, ever.
  • No health data about you: the site never asks what you take or what conditions you have.

Sponsored placements and links

Some pages show clearly labelled sponsored placements or link to other websites. When you follow a link, the other site's privacy policy applies. Sponsors receive no personal data from us.

Your rights (GDPR and similar laws)

You can ask us to show, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you (in practice: your email address, if you gave it). To do so, use the contact page. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
