Degarelix for Treating Advanced Hormone-Dependent Prostate Cancer: An Evidence Review Group Perspective of a NICE Single Technology Appraisal

Conclusion: Further analyses from the Decision Support Unit found that that, whilst some evidence indicated that degarelix could be cost effective for a small subgroup of people with spinal cord compression (SCC), data on the potential size of this subgroup and the rate of SCC were insufficient to estimate an ICER based on the evidence submitted by the company and a separately commissioned systematic review. NICE recommended degarelix as an option for treating advanced hormone-dependent prostate cancer in people with spinal metastases, only if the commissioner can achieve at least the same discounted drug

Systematic evidence mapping informs a class-based approach to assessing personal care products and pubertal timing

Conclusion: This systematic evidence map identified and mapped the published research evaluating the association between exposure to PCPs and their chemical constituents and puberty-related health outcomes. The resulting interactive visualization allows researchers to make evidence-based decisions on the available research by enabling them to search, sort, and filter the literature base of puberty-related studies by key concepts. This map can be used by researchers and regulators to prioritize and target future research and funding to reduce uncertainties and address data gaps. It also provides informatio

Phthalate exposure and male reproductive outcomes: A systematic review of the human epidemiological evidence

Conclusion: Overall, despite some inconsistencies across phthalates in the specific outcomes associated with exposure, these results support that phthalate exposure at levels seen in human populations may have male reproductive effects, particularly DEHP and DBP. The relative strength of the evidence reflects differing levels of toxicity as well as differences in the range of exposures studied and the number of available studies. Sex Hormones, Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin and Sleep Problems in Females With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Conclusion: SHBG, rather than hyperandrogenism, may play a more important mechanistic role for OSA in PCOS, while other sleep disturbances exhibit a less severe SHBG profile. These findings enhance comprehension of underlying pathophysiology of sleep problems in PCOS. Further validation across PCOS populations is warranted.
