The efficacy and safety of GLP-1 agonists in PCOS women living with obesity in promoting weight loss and hormonal regulation: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Conclusion: The use of GLP1-RAs demonstrates efficacy in reducing BMI, triglycerides, waist circumference and total testosterone. There was no significant difference in total cholesterol and HOMA-IR levels. These results signify its viability as a favourable treatment option for managing PCOS symptoms in women living with obesity.

Effects of GLP-1 Analogues and Agonists on the Gut Microbiota: A Systematic Review

Conclusion: Thirty-eight studies were included in this systematic review. GLP-1 analogues have demonstrated a notable impact on the composition, richness, and diversity of gut microbiota. We can conclude, following the obtained research results of our study, that liraglutide promotes the growth of beneficial genera relevant for beneficial metabolic functions. Exenatide and exendin-4 administration showed various effects on the microbiome composition in animal and human studies. The impact of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists in the treatment of eating disorders: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Conclusion: This review underscores the potential role of GLP-1 agonists in BED management. However, given the limited data, especially concerning EDs other than BED and the long-term effects of these medications, further comprehensive clinical trials are recommended to evaluate the impact of various GLP-1 agonists on different EDs across diverse demographic groups.
