Conclusion: In respect to animal models of adult vitamin D deficiency, such exposures produce subtle neurochemical alterations and effects on cognition but do not appear to produce behavioral phenotypes of relevance to schizophrenia. We conclude, the hypothesis that vitamin D deficiency during early life may increase the risk of schizophrenia remains plausible and warrants ongoing research.

Gabapentinoids and Acetaminophen as Adjuvants for Managing Postoperative PainConclusion: While the rate of adverse effects was low in all studies, it was found to increase as dosages increased. Results support that pregabalin has a role in decreasing postoperative pain intensity and supplemental opiate use; however, the optimal dose or dosing regimen is not yet well understood.
